Welcome to Williams Creek
Our little slice of mud-caked heaven!

Location

Situated in the heart of the Rush community in Carter County, KY, this spot provides direct access to premier outdoor recreation.

Highlights

  • Over 100 Acres: A sprawling, private retreat for your getaway.

  • Adjacent to Adventure: Bordered by the 7,000-acre Rush-OffRoad ATV Park.

  • Secluded & Scenic: Nestled next to the 4,000-acre Cumberland One private hunting reserve.

Williams Creek Cabins is nestled at the headwaters of Williams Creek, our property sits where the Twin Lick branch joins the main stream, flowing northeast through the scenic hollow toward Rush. From here, the waters merge with Rush Creek, journeying north to the Little Sandy River and onward to the Ohio.

Railroad History

Williams Creek leaves the property under the back-drop of towering oaks, rock faces and through an old train trestle supporting what is now CR-1654. This last mile of road to the property is a reclaimed B&O railroad bed (visiting by road you will notice the squirm in the road where it jumps on and follows the old bed.)

Past the Camp Store and Cabins on the right, the old rail bed splits from the road and continues through Williams Creek property to the western terminus of the abandoned Means Tunnel. This is a heavily overgrown but flat hike about a half mile back in the holler from the Camp Store. The tunnel is blocked but visible

The other Three Pole

A steeper hike or trail ride takes visitors to the same power and oil right-of-ways that bisect Rush Off-Road.

We are the only peak with the three transmission towers visible from the top of Rush Off-Road's famous Three Pole climb. This bald top provides unobstructed views of the Rush Off-Road park to the east and spectacular sunset views to the west.

Catch and Release Fishing

Also, coming soon, we have a pond on the property above the creek that is being developed for catch and release fishing. The water looks good, just waiting on the season to stock.

Private Trails

While we are off the beaten path, deep in the holler, Williams Creek is an exciting property that we are just beginning to explore ourselves and look forward to sharing with our visitors and guests.

When planning your visit to Rush Off-Road, we hope you stop by the Camp Store and consider spending time with us at Williams Creek.
